Born and raised in Los Angeles, Holly Maddox is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores identity, memory and the quiet power of everyday Black life.
She deepened her artistic skills and cultural perspective while attending Grambling State University,
a Historically Black College.
Her next creative journey was with computer graphics where she first discovered the power of digital storytelling, but the stillness of the pandemic, she discovered painting as both a personal refuge and
a new medium that offered both healing
and renewal.
Whether through color, posture, or expression,
she hopes to inspire thoughts, stir feelings, and evoke
a sense of nostalgia connecting viewer to self, past,
and possibility.
